VoltarSmart Integration – Muito mais que integração
The standard
It is already standard for information systems, or pieces of software, to include some sort of integration or API (Application Programming Interface). For the record, according to Wikipedia, an API is a “set of routines and programming standards for access to a Web-based software application or platform.
What is intended in both cases is that you can, through one piece of software, access content from another, so that you can relate data that is relevant and, in this way, integrate content.
System integration became a must-have with the consolidation and spread of ERPs (Management Software) and with the appearance of more specialized (vertical) modules that required standard information coming from the base system (articles, clients, etc.) to work.
Nowadays, there is rarely an organization that does not use more than one software tool and does not demand that these tools integrate with each other in some way (interface).
The APIs are now a fundamental element of the solutions, allowing openness for the exchange of information between tools.
Smart Integration 2.0
Algardata has, from early on, been creating integration between systems, based on the know-how of PRIMAVERA, using components that, long before the existence of APIs, allowed the connection with other tools, with greater or lesser difficulty.
As a result of this knowledge and the strong partnership with PMS (Property Management System) HOST, the first intelligent integration system – HOST-PRIMAVERA Interface – appeared in 2009.
This integrator, which is currently in its new version, is much more than a simple interface. This is because, instead of allowing only the exchange (sending and receiving) of data, it allows the validation and complementarity of existing information, transforming data into fundamental knowledge for the organization that uses it.
This is the concept of Smart integration – going beyond data and processing information to obtain knowledge.
The importance of know-how
In addition to the processing of information, previously mentioned, it is important to add a layer of human knowledge, which includes consulting and training users, so that the existing systems can be adapted to meet the needs of users and management. This is a fundamental and often overlooked factor. It is not only necessary to obtain data, or work the information, it is FUNDAMENTAL that it is adequate and used for decision making according to the expectations and needs of users, only then we have an adequate, useful and differentiating system – the true Smart Integration.
